Position Summary

This leadership position is responsible for leading the Curriculum Development and Instructional Design team in Sales Enablement to consistently achieve business results and to ensure that internal customer and business expectations are fulfilled. In addition, this position is responsible for the development of all product/service, regulatory, sales skills and systems training for sales associates from all platforms with a primary goal of consistency, productivity and effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the training development priorities, activities and execution for Sales Enablement to ensure work is completed through effective use of adult learning methodologies, in a quality manner, and with internal customer expectations and business results fulfilled.
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
    • Maintain +/- 5% of actual expenses to training budget
    • Timely execution of eLearning courses to support sales
    • Retention
  • Leads, develops and coaches team:
    • Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition
    • Participates in the hiring/selection process
    • Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports
    • Handles associate relations issues 
  • Provides recommendations and implements solutions to meet learning and development needs of sales associates at all levels, to include interactive instructor-led and eLearning solutions.
  • Evaluates and assesses curriculum development and instructional design content and performance.  Makes changes as appropriate to maintain effectiveness of programs.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and sales platform Training & Quality Managers throughout the development and execution of training; including development, transition to delivery, and maintenance.
  • Ensures the developed coaching processes for sales associates, sales leaders, Curriculum Development, and Instructional Design team members are continued forward.
  • Develops and maintains up-to-date training content library to include facilitator/participant guides, self-directed training, eLearning courses, LMS and course attendance management.
  • Delivers instructor-led training as needed.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and awareness of J. J. Keller markets, products, and service offerings.
  • Ensures all facilities, equipment, and materials of the training programs are available, properly maintained, and up to date.
  • Manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions. 
  • Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner and ensure that staff follows these same guidelines.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years of training and curriculum development experience, preferably in an inside sales environment.
  • Blended learning including e-learning and curriculum development experience.
  • 3+ years of curriculum development leadership experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field
  • Educational degree in instructional design/adult learning desirable

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with application of adult learning methodologies.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite, with advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to develop effective business relationships with all levels within the organization and across multiple business units.
  • Ability to effectively utilize technology/tools to develop training in multiple formats.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of elearning tools such as Articulate Storyline, etc.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices or customer sites may also be required, depending on assignment.
