Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading the Business Applications Development team to consistently achieve business results and to ensure internal/external customer/client service expectations are fulfilled.  The incumbent will focus primarily on SAP sales and marketing applications and will own SAP ECC and Cloud for Customer, ensuring system software and features are optimally designed meeting the needs of users.

 

Our SAP footprint is on the move! We’ve recently moved ECC and BW to HANA, implemented Cloud for Sales and Service, implemented SuccessFactors – Talent Management, and implemented FSCM Credit Management. The future is exciting as we implement PP, expand Cloud for Customer, investigate S/4, enhance the user experience with the use of Fiori, and bring more processes into SAP.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops and coaches team:
    • Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition
    • Participates in the hiring/selection process
    • Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports
    • Handles associate relations issues
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
    • Projects completed on-time and within budget
    • Ensuring business applications meet current and future business requirements
    • Staff knowledgeable and trained to address business issues
    • Associate retention
    • Budget control
  • Partners with business stakeholders, primarily in Sales and Marketing, to prioritize projects in alignment with business objectives.
  • Functions as the primary contact for Sales and Marketing projects.  Monitors project progress and acts as a focal point for communication of project activities and status, and as a decision point for midscale project decisions.
  • Manages vendor relationships related to external consultants and staff augmentation services.
  • Maintains familiarity with the business plans across the company. Identifies where business plans or projects may affect other areas and notifies/involves others as needed.
  • Focuses steering committee's and project review committee's attention on long term directional decisions.
  • Maintains awareness of current and developing trends in SAP solutions and other technologies and methodologies in support of company's objectives and requirements. Serves as an advisor on systems and processes as needed.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in a related leadership role, including management of SAP resources.
  • 10+ years in systems related role, including experience in SAP support.
  • SAP development experience, preferably in Sales and Marketing applications.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Enterprise CRM Systems (i.e. SAP Cloud for Customer, Salesforce, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a Technology related field

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of enterprise CRM solutions.
  • Solid understanding of systems, including client/server environments.
  • Ability to develop and implement growth plans and programs.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices or customer sites may also be required, depending on assignment.
