Position Summary
Join our field sales team at J. J. Keller as we help employers protect people and the businesses they run. With more than 7 million employers in this country, the need for our safety and compliance solutions is always growing.
As a J. J. Keller Field Sales Executive, you'll partner with an inside sales representative to help your customers uncover DOT compliance challenges in their workplace. Then, with knowledge you gain about our extensive portfolio of products and services, you'll partner with them to find solutions that meet their safety and compliance needs. You'll travel frequently to customers sites within the assigned region (Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine) from your home base within that region. Travel - due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, travel related requirements for this position have been modified in order to comply with company, client, state and local guidelines. The successful candidate should expect to travel approximately 50% of the time in territory once it is safe to do so.

How You'll Succeed at J. J. Keller
Working from home, you will:
- Collaborate with an inside sales partner to sell Transportation products and services to an assigned account base.
- Develop selling strategies for each assigned account, and manage the sales process from the initial opportunity up to service implementation.
- Develop supply agreements, contracts, merchandising and pricing strategies.
- Work with other J. J. Keller business units on negotiating pricing, terms and conditions, as well as other key components of customer agreements.
- Prospect and qualify new account opportunities.
- Serve everyone you meet - externally and internally - in a professional manner, and resolve any customer service concerns to meet the needs of both the customer and the company.
- Accurately complete and process all documentation, including your expense account.
- Coordinate customer visits.
The Skills & Background We're Seeking
- 3+ years of field sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
- Experience selling intangible solutions, such as services, through on-site presentations
- Business development skills
- A consultative approach
- Strong understanding of the Transportation industry
- Ability to manage the sales process both independently and in collaboration with an inside sales associate
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; in lieu of a degree would consider relevant industry experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel about 50% of the time

Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Frequent airplane or car travel required for this position.
