Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading the Operations Support team within Editorial & Consulting Services to consistently achieve business results and to ensure internal/external customer/client service expectations are fulfilled.  Operations Support includes the the following functions: administrative support, billing, consulting support, and research and documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops and coaches team:
    • Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition
    • Participates in the hiring/selection process
    • Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports
    • Handles associate relations issues
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
    • On-time performance
    • Cost management
    • Team chargeability/absorption
    • Deliverable GPA
    • Customer satisfaction
    • Content engagement
    • Associate retention
  • Designs, implements and monitors internal processes and procedures to ensure productivety, client and regulatory requirements are satisfied. 
  • Researches, writes, reviews and/or edits material for guides/manuals, handbooks, newsletters, posters, on-line services, and consulting client deliverables.
  • Researches, develops and reviews material for unique or custom projects to support Custom Solutions, Managed Services, Consulting Services and sales channels.
  • Identifies and manages outside partnerships that provide copy editing and various operational support for the department. 
  • Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner and ensure that staff follows these same guidelines. 
  • Manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions. 
  • Enforces and supports all company policies and procedures. Fully supports the company's commitment to safety and the environment and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace. 



  • Understanding of office management procedures, billing, copy editing and research.
  • 2+ years office operations leadership experience.
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies.


  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field preferred.

  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Sincere commitment to providing outstanding client service. 
  • Ability to coordinate and direct work flows for multiple individuals and projects.
  • Ability to manage a budget.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
