Position Summary

The Associate Portfolio Director will lead the strategic growth and direction of the Supplies and Forms Lines. Specifically, identifying and implementing product growth strategies across multiple markets and product lines designed to gain market share, improving competitive position through gap analysis, and identifying potential proprietary offerings through unique, innovative designs and manufacturing processes.

This position will work collaboratively across the organization with several areas, including Executive leadership, Business Units, Innovation, Sales and Customers Insights to understand market needs and trends while uncovering opportunities for growth. This role will leverage external resources such industrial design and product engineering firms to help design and develop unique products which provide incremental value and minimize market competitiveness due to commoditization. This individual will understand and leverage new technologies where appropriate to deliver new product solutions to customers. The Associate Director will lead a team of 3 individuals, all dedicated to the management of the current portfolio and the development and launch of new unique supply products designed to achieve long term growth targets.

The creation of this new role is critical to the organization's long-term success and has a direct ability to make a substantial impact on organizational growth

Position is located in at our Corporate Headquarters in Neenah, WI; may consider partial in-office/remote for driving distance from Neenah.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements an overall strategic vision and plan for growth to include line strategies, gap analysis, competitive reviews, and 5-year product road maps.
  • Builds a culture of growth and opportunity across the organization through effective internal communication and engagement.
  • Seeks opportunities to reimagine supplies and potential integration with other business units for a more powerful, more differentiated solution
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to differentiate the supplies line through diversification, technology, value added capabilities and/or proprietary designs to offer unique competitive value to decrease commoditization.
  • Partners with Manufacturing and vendors to maximize margin.
  • Partners with various vendors to leverage new capabilities for production and development of potential new products and solutions.
  • Writes, coordinates and implements New Product Development and launch plans.
  • Assesses, leads, develops, and coaches team.
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
    • Line revenue
    • New product and service revenue
    • Associate retention
    • Budget control


  • 10 years or more years of overall experience in product management, product development and/or product engineering, with a specific experience in new product planning, development and execution. 
  • 7+ years of experience in a related leadership role.
  • Experience managing both proprietary and sourced products. 
  • Experience establishing, managing, and leading new initiatives or strategic priorities.
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience managing or applying technology based solutions.
  • Experience working at all levels of the organization including Executive Leadership.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field. In lieu, may consider combination of directly related experience and education.

  • Ability to articulate new opportunities, create buy-in and establish vision for growth while maintaining a strategic business perspective.
  • Comfortable managing and assessing risk and making decisions with some level of ambiguity/uncertainty.
  • Ability to manage for long term growth without losing site of near term goals.
