Billing Systems Analyst

Position Summary

J. J. Keller’s Technology Solutions department is looking to welcome a Billing Systems Analyst to their team. Technology Solutions develops, manages, and supports online and mobile solutions serving the Transportation, Workplace Safety, and Human Resources markets. Technology Solutions covers all aspects of the technology product lifecycle, from concept to release to ongoing customer support. The purpose of the Billing Systems Analyst position is to complete complex billing tasks including identifying, analyzing, and resolving Technology Services billings issues. This position will review monthly billings from numerous internal systems, analyze the data, and provide detailed reporting to stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Serves as a conduit between Technology Solutions, Finance, clients, and vendors in establishing processes, systems, billing capabilities and troubleshooting as needed.
• Performs monthly audits on client billings, reviewing actual billings against the client contract. This includes vast and complex spreadsheets with strict turnaround times. 
• Analyzes billing data, identifies gaps/issues, and develops solutions to rectify the issues.
• Trouble-shoots billing errors and rejected records to identify root cause and develops solutions to rectify the issues.
• Assists with resolving client inquiries and disputes. Coordinate correct client setup to ensure future billing accuracy.
• Reconciles vendor invoices and internal billing questions and works directly with Accounting to resolve discrepancies.
• Provides financial reporting including forecasting. 
• Provides ad hoc billing analysis and reports to stakeholders as requested.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3+ years of business-related experience, preferably working within a complex analytical environment.
• Experience with report writing/query tools such as SQL, PowerBI, etc.
• High level of proficiency with MS Excel, to include experience with creating pivot tables, V-lookup, macros, charts, etc.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree desirable.

Computer Skills:

• Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office.
• Microsoft Access and SQL Server a plus.
• SAP experience desirable.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
