Position Summary

This purpose of this position is to assist Buyers by performing routine purchasing functions for a variety of goods and services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists Buyers with issuing purchase orders of standard goods and services.
  • Responsible for vendor set up and overall maintanence of the Vendor Master including credit forms, vendor liability insurance certificates, and ACH account information.
  • Maintain programs such as associate purchase program and associate uniform program.
  • Source and issue purchase orders for company apparel and promotional items for all departments.
  • Processes all facilities requests including department work orders.
  • Assists Buyers with holding suppliers accountable to our supplier compliance manual.
  • Assists Buyers with resolving purchase order issues to the mutual satisfaction of the customer and supplier.
  • Issues release of consignment materials to manufacturing as inventory requires.
  • Assists Buyers and Accounting with resolving supplier invoice discrepancies.
  • Assists Buyers with entering pricing and updates into SAP. Requests pricing as needed.
  • Processes supplier returns.




  • 5+ years of office experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain related role.
  • Experience in a Materials Management ERP system environment preferred.


  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
