Position Summary

Join our Managed Services team at J. J. Keller as we help employers protect people and the businesses they run. Keller is hiring a Data Specialist to identify trends and gaps in our clients regulatory compliance. 

 

The purpose of this position is to establish and analyze compliance measures, identify gaps, and develop risk-mitigation strategies for the Client's Compliance Management Program. This position collaborates with stakeholders to understand regulations and align them with technology, tools and business processes to ensure that client-specific compliance results are maintained.

 

This position will also coordinate workload for client facing roles within the Client's Compliance Management Program, ensuring that the client's needs are met in an efficient and effective manner.

 

The Data Specialist would work 100% on-site until onboarding is complete and then would have the opportunity to work hybrid.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs data analysis, compliance trending, risk assessments, auditing and reporting on client compliance, communicating with both internal and external stakeholders on results, including identifying, and recommending appropriate mitigations tactics.
  • Utilizes data analysis tools such as Power BI to create dashboards, analyze client trends, and uncover meaningful insights.  Leverages data to develop actionable insights to drive business results. 
  • Identifies opportunities and projects from exploring and analyzing data along with implementation of prioritized projects.
    • Conducts problem solving as the first level escalation point, providing guidance to co-workers on regulations, procedures, and system related matters.
    • Conducts system and data integrity audits as needed.
    • Performs related work for accounts as necessary.
  • Prioritizes and leads task forces and project teams to implement new services and procedural changes.
    • Scopes the project with a clear problem statement, expected deliverables and impact on upstream/downstream processes.
    • Develops implementation plan, to include action items, deadlines, and ownership.
    • Maintains on-going communication with management, end users and other stakeholders.
  • Monitors workload levels and creates documentation within the various services:
    • Monitors phone queues, drafts, and delivers daily phone metrics, and ensures response times are meeting agreements.
    • Monitors client pass transitions to ensure timely and effective move from Implementation team to Client Service Team.
  • Works with Training Specialist to develop and administer operational and client service training programs:
    • Coordinates training for new and existing associates, including system training across multiple systems.
    • Develops and conducts periodic general and job specific training sessions for associates as a refresher or new training.
    • Establishes and maintains operational procedures.
  • Assists Management in identification of coaching/development needs and provides feedback for onboarding and annual performance evaluations.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information under FCRA, HIPPA and other regulatory entities.  Adheres to the department’s data security policies pertaining to personal identification information.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+ years of report creation and analysis experience, preferably in a service delivery environment.
  • Experience with Power BI or data visualization toolsets preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with client-facing and back-office applications preferred.

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in business related field.
  • In lieu of degree, may consider a combination of education and additional related work experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills, including the use of graphing, complex calculations, and processing large quantities of data.
  • High level of analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to comprehend complex data sets.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
