Position Summary
The purpose of our Facilities Technician role is to maintain the J. J. Keller buildings and equipment to provide a safe, functional and professional work environment. Duties may be performed at all J. J. Keller buildings and properties and may include preventative maintenance, general building construction and the completion of facilities work requests.

Job Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance on buildings and building systems including, but not limited to, roofing, electrical, fire, security, plumbing, furniture, HVAC, corporate vehicles, motorized equipment, and power tools/equipment.
- Performs general building construction and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, fire systems, plumbing and protective coating.
- Builds, removes and adjusts work stations to support remodeling, associate moves and ergonomic adjustments.
- Completes Facilities Work Requests as assigned.
- Performs daily recycling duties as assigned.
- Coordinates vendor assignments including scheduling and overseeing activities to ensure quality results. May assist with sourcing vendors as appropriate.
- Assists with lawn maintenance and snow removal as assigned.
- Operates corporate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner following company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Performs rotational maintenance response duties during off-hours, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Experience/Education:
- Facilities Technician
- 1+ years of building maintenance experience or experience operating a variety of equipment in an industrial environment.
- Post high school education in a skilled trade a plus.
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.
- Must possess valid driver's license.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to properly operate hand tools, power tools, power lifts, motorized carts, and powered snow removal equipment.
- Good troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal oversight.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand blueprints, schematic drawing and operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals a plus.
Physical Requirements
Work is primarily performed in a industrial environment and may involve exposure to high noise levels, industrial machinery, power equipment and hazardous materials. Work is also performed outside with exposure to extreme heat and cold.
Physical requirements include frequent standing/kneeling/squating; and frequent lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. and occassionally up to 100 lbs.
