Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading the National Accounts Field Sales Team to consistently achieve business results and to ensure internal/external customer/client service expectations are fulfilled.This position also shares ownership of the overall sales results for the Fleet Services area. The individual will work in close collaboration with business partners such as Marketing, Research & Development and Business Unit Managers.  As a Director, this position must operate at a strategic level, focusing on long-term plans and strategic priorities that benefit J. J. Keller as a whole.  This role has four Territory Directors (direct reports) and 20 Field Sales Executives located across the United States.  This role can be located at the corporate office in Neenah, WI or remote (work from home).

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops and coaches team:
     - Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition
     - Participates in the hiring/selection process
     - Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports
     - Handles associate relations issues 
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:

            - Associate retention

            - Budget control

            - Top line revenue

            - Product/service line mix

            - Sales per associate

            - Revenue per account

            - Account retention 

  • Manages account base assignments and sales projections/forecasts. 
  • Creates and communicates a long-term vision and strategy for the area. 
  • Analyzes customer and industry/niche sales trends and develops recommendations to align resources and budgets to improve effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Develops and implements plans to effectively handle major regulatory or industry changes that will impact sales operations. 
  • Develops and implements plans and procedures for effective forecasting, budgeting, performance measurements, talent development and resource allocation. 
  • Serves as a resource to business partners by providing knowledge and expertise in support of corporate plans/initiatives. 
  • Takes a lead role in managing associations and tradeshow activities. 
  • Sets budgets and manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions. (if applicable) 
  • Attends and actively participates in corporate meetings.
  • Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner and ensure that staff follows these same guidelines. 
  • Enforces and support all company policies and procedures. Fully support the company's commitment to safety and the environment and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace. 

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in an office/customer environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Frequent travel to customer sites required.



  • 10 years' experience in a contractual sales leadership role leading field sales teams.
  • Industry experience in fleet services/transportation desireable. 
  • Experience selling enterprise technology and business service related solutions required.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales and productivity goals.


  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field or comparable J. J. Keller experience

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop long-term vision and strategic plans.
  • Ability to develop and implement growth plans and programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to travel up to 30% required.
