Position Summary
Join our printing team and work in clean, safe and comfortable environment! The purpose of this 3rd shift Printing Press position is to operate screen printing, digital press, and bindery equipment in accordance with manufacturing standards and product specifications. As a member of the third shift team, the individual will operate multiple pieces of equipment based upon business needs.
The 3rd shift work hours are Sunday through Thursday nights, 10:30pm to 6:30am. This position includes a $1.50 shift differential.
The equipment you would operate includes: Screen Press Equipment includes, but is not limited to: Thieme press, screen cutter, backslitter, pre-press screen making equipment.
Other Equipment includes, but is not limited to: KM-1e, Digital SuperWeb, guillotine cutter.

Job Responsibilities
- Examines job specifications to determine equipment operating time, quantity to be printed, and stock and ink specifications.
- Sets up and operates equipment according to manufacturing standards and production specifications.
- Continually responsible for quality and quantity of finished product and follows all job checking procedures.
- Properly records time and materials on each individual job, as well as recording daily information utilizing automated data collection system.
- Handles routine daily and monthly maintenance as required. Performs preventive maintenance program as necessary.
- Works overtime as needed to meet production requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 1+ year of experience operating screen printing or digital printing equipment preferred
- Would consider bindery experience in lieu of printing experience
Education:
- High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Technical college diploma or certificate in printing a plus
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the use of a computer
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to match or detect subtle differences between colors
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Detail oriented with focus on high quality
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing (industrial printing) environment and may involve exposure to noise hazards, high speed mechanical moving parts, chemical hazards, and hazards common to Screen Press operation and the printing industry.
Work may involve repetitive operation of industrial equipment for extended periods of time. The work may also require frequent lifting of materials and equipment which have the potential of weighing up to a maximum of 50 lbs. Work Activities may also include the pushing/pulling of heavy materials, supplies or equipment. Equipment operation may also require frequent bending, grasping, and reaching.
Press activities and printing equipment operation will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Such PPE may include hearing protection, eye protection, hand protection and safety-toe footwear.
