Quality Automation Engineer

Position Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks that support efficient and scalable testing processes across web, mobile, API, and desktop applications.
• Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Sele-nium with C#, Appium and other applicable automation frameworks.
• Develop and maintain QA automation agents to support test execution, validation, monitor-ing, reporting, and productivity improvements within the QA process. 
• Perform mobile application testing across iOS and Android platforms, including functional, regression, compatibility, and end-to-end testing. 
• Automate desktop application testing using appropriate tools and frameworks to validate business-critical workflows and ensure application stability. 
• Work closely with Development, Product, and QA teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test cases, test plans, and automation strategies. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, troubleshoot automation failures, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices. 
• Analyze automated test results, investigate defects, and provide meaningful feedback to stakeholders. 
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent validation throughout the software development lifecycle. 
• Maintain automation code quality through version control, code reviews, reusable compo-nents, and adherence to established automation standards. 
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging automation tools, AI-assisted QA solutions, and test engineering best practices; recommend approaches to improve automation efficiency and coverage.
• Apply knowledge of OWASP standards and secure testing practices to identify potential security risks and support secure application development.

Qualifications

Experience

• 3+ years software QA Experience using automation tools.
• Experience with automated testing tools - Selenium, Appium strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end test automation

Education

• Associate's degree in a Computer Science or technology-related field.  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• In lieu of degree, may be considered a combination of education and related work experience.
• Required: Certification in Software Testing, Test Automation, or a related QA discipline. 
• Preferred certifications include: ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Certified Selenium Professional, Playwright certification/training, or other relevant automa-tion testing certification.

Computer Skills

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in C#, Java, python, or other similar languages.
• Automation Tools: Selenium, NUnit, Appium preferred.
• Version Control Systems: Git or similar tools for code management.
• Knowledge of database concepts for a SQL or NoSQL database.

Other Requirements

• Familiarity with Continuous integration and Continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Knowledge of SDLC, STLC and BDD a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, Attention to detail and Organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to function both independently and as part of a team focused on specific deliverables and objectives. 

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
