Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to support the design and delivery of Chemical Management Services in Managed Services.  This person will apply his/her expertise in Environment Health and Safety to support clients in need of these specialty services while supporting the buildout of a robust service offering. 

Job Responsibilities


  • Performs tasks to deliver a variety of Chemical Management advisory and operational services to clients.  Activities include but are not limited to:
    • Written HazCom program
    • Chemical inventory
    • SDS management
    • HazCom labeling
  • Serves as primary interface between client and JJ Keller. 
  • Advises clients on methods to improve compliance levels for their businesses.  Activities include but are not limited to:
    • Evaluating written HazCom programs and making recommendations.
    • Providing general HazCom training.
    • Assisting with general regulatory questions and guidance. 
    • Communicating regulatory information/changes to clients as appropriate.
    • Providing reports on HazCom program performance.
    • Conducting independent research required for client specific needs.
  • Maintains expertise pertaining to applicable federal and state regulations in order to educate and provide clarification to clients.
  • Actively collaborates with Sales, Product Management and Marketing teams to:
    • Identify value-add opportunities.
    • Enhance the client experience from point of sale through service delivery.
    • Improve efficiency of the service lifecycle by identifying process improvements.
  • Builds network of critical resources within Consulting Services, Technology Solutions, and regulatory agencies to understand and support client needs.
  • Partners with internal resources to develop process documentation for new and existing services.



  • 1 year of experience in the environmental, health or safety field.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and ability to apply regulatory knowledge to a variety of situations.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred
  • In lieu of education, will consider relevant work experience.

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal associates and external clients.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity in a newly defined role.
  • Ability to identify and  implement creative service solutions for clients.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices or customer sites may also be required, depending on assignment.
