Position Summary

J. J. Keller is currently hiring Customer Acquisition Specialists in our Neenah, WI office. If you’re a goal-oriented, competitive, individual who enjoys the "thrill of the chase", our Customer Acquisition team is the perfect fit for you! 

 

As a Customer Acquisition Specialist with J. J. Keller, you will be responsible for developing positive business relationships with our customers by successfully qualifying accounts, uncovering needs, and transforming needs into sales opportunities utilizing a direct outbound call approach. These roles require individuals to have an effective application of sales process, assumptive closing style, and willingness to be on the phone the majority of the business day.

 

The objective of this role is designed to acclimate you to J. J. Keller’s diverse product portfolio and customer base. With our extensive training program, you will be given the tools necessary to be successful, and advance your sales career.

Job Responsibilities

  • Uncovers customer needs and places products/services for follow-up by a Sales Representative. Schedules follow-up appointment for the Sales Representative as appropriate. 
  • Qualifies accounts as needed to determine sales opportunities and identify additional contacts/buyers. If an opportunity is identified for another sales area, takes appropriate action to forward the lead.  
  • Organizes and manages leads to capitalize on placement opportunities and ensure all leads are contacted based on the placement cycle criteria. 
  • Services all customers, internal and external, in a professional manner. Resolves customer service problems to the mutual satisfaction of both the company and the customer. 
  • Accurately completes and processes documentation related to customer transactions.

 

Customer Acquisition Specialist II - Additional Responsibilities:

  • Sells products or services to existing and prospective customers as assigned.
  • Organizes and manages sales leads to capitalize on selling opportunities and ensure all leads are contacted based on the sales cycle criteria.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Prior sales, customer service or business experience preferred

Education:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales or Business preferred

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to use an assumptive and outbound call approach.
  • Ability to overcome objections and deal effectively with rejection, while remaining personable to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to follow a scripted call format.
  • Ability to engage in needs analysis.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, assertive and goal oriented.
  • Possess temperament to accept and apply coaching.
  • Ability to learn the sales process and effectively apply it.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required.
