Position Summary

Our Content Management team is growing! We've recently moved to Documentum D2 and continue to add more strategic content capabilities to support our organization and customers. The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the development and support of J. J. Keller's Content Management System (CMS). This includes: analysis, project estimating, design, development/coding, testing and documentation.  Work includes on-going support, enhancements and new implementation.  This role will also provide technical and functional project leadership as assigned. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned programming tasks related to new development or maintenance on the Content Management System as well as for integration with the CMS and other applications.
  • Analyzes user needs and impact to other site areas to determine technical requirements of assigned tasks.
  • Promotes strong quality practices by performing unit testing and providing appropriate level of support for user acceptance testing, as needed.
  • Maintains accurate technical documentation for assigned programming projects.
  • Acts as a support resource for the technical support staff to ensure that customer-reported issues are being addressed in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Performs lead developer role on assigned projects.
  • Interfaces with CMS Systems Administrator, Website and Database Administrators to maintain optimal server configuration, database accuracy/integrity and for coordination of staging and production moves.
  • Develops and maintains a solid understanding of the technology tools and trends and remains current in new technology developments and their potential impact on the department.
  • Focuses primarily on highly complex code development and projects of larger scope. 
  • Responsible for architecting System Platforms and landscapes (cloud and on premise) – evaluating and providing recommendations.
  • Trains and mentors other team members on CMS development techniques. 
  • Performs as a Liaison with Business Units/IT/Content teams to identify opportunities/design solutions.  
  • Takes the lead in meetings to help drive solutions that meet our customer needs – architecting future state, integrating with TS systems, and coordinating with the IT Infrastructure teams . 



  • 7+ years software development experience including analysis, technical design, system integration, coding and testing.
  • 2+ years Documentum/D2 development and support experience, including Webtop or other Editing applications.
  • Experience with XML technologies and developing interfaces, integrations and API's.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • CMS Platform Design experience, including Cloud Technologies (such as Azure, AWS)
  • Experience leading design/architecture discussions and proactive interactions with business units.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.
  • Java and object-oriented programming experience.
  • Understanding of SQL Server development and database structures.

Other Requirements:

  • Systems analysis and design skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may be required, depending on assignment.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply):  Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The salary compensation range for this role in Colorado is $95,000.00 to $120,000.00. Compensation and benefits information for this position is being included in accordance with requirements of the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. J. J.
