Position Summary

J. J. Keller has an immediate opening in the Talent Acquisition Department of Human Resource Services. The Talent Acquisition Team is responsible for attracting and retaining talent into the organization.  In this role, we are seeking a professional who is passionate about staffing, processes and technology. 

The purpose of this position is two-fold:

  1. Conduct full cycle non-exempt recruiting to ensure quality, timely, cost effective hiring practices are achieved. This position partners with hiring management to identify hiring goals and then implements the staffing plans in the organization. Most important, is to identify and attract high caliber talent into the company.
  2. Provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition function to ensure employment processes are in compliance with Company practices and state and federal regulations. Duties include but are not limited to: coordination of new hire paperwork, new hire orientation, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Activates job requisitions and advertises openings internally and externally on internet job boards and social media sites.
  • Identifies and evaluates qualified candidates (internal and external) with position specifications defined by hiring leaders.
  • Utilizes effective interviewing techniques in order to analyze applicants' qualifications in relation to job requirements and determines suitable match.
  • Conducts telephone interviews with viable candidates, coordinates and/or participates in onsite interviews, facilitates pre-employment testing, completes background checking and extends job offers in line with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Initiates timely candidate and hiring manager contact and follow-up communication.
  • Coordinates contract labor across the company and reconciles monthly billings.
  • Maintains accurate documentation in recruiting system for affirmative action reporting.
  • Coordinates new associate orientation sessions, including scheduling, maintaining presentation materials, and conducting sessions.
  • Reviews new hire paperwork for completeness and accuracy and follows up with associates as necessary.
  • Coordinates E-Verify program.
  • Maintains monthly and quarterly reports related to Talent Acquisition, turnover/retention, and other department metrics.
  • Coordinates candidate travel (flight, hotel and transportation) for on-site interviews.
  • Assists Talent Acquisition team with administrative activities such as offer letters, associate paperwork, etc.



  • 1 year of talent acquisition/staffing experience preferred.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business-related field, preferably in Human Resources.

  • Knowledge of employment regulations regarding hiring practices.
  • High degree of integrity, sensitivity and professionalism in dealing with associate relations issues and confidential information.
  • Ability to connect and engage with people in a professional and tactful manner.
  • High tolerance for workload demands, pressures and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in an effective partnership with others.
  • Proficient with operation of a PC and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to compile and analyze data for reporting purposes.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
